2 more things to try. Try running scanpst.exe on his .pst file. If that
does not work, then delete the forms cache (frmcache.dat).
Last resort - the ever popular scorched earth method - try a new mail
profile.

A computer club member reported the inability to reply, reply to all, or
forward e-mail messages.
As a volunteer, I went to their home last evening and this is what I found,
and did.
Win XP Pro SP2 plus all updates applied. Office 2003 Small Business Edition.
When Outlook 2003 is opened, it takes forever (50 seconds). E-mail messages
are received. When attempting to send any message, whether reply, reply to
all or forward, a window opens that says something like "Opening Word as
your E-mail editor. Nothing happens. 5 - 10 minutes. Outlook is
unresponsive, and I used Task Manager to end it. Performed detect and
repair. A dll was missing. Inserted the installation disk. Repair completed
successfully.
No cigar.
The system is free of viruses and trojans, etc.
I then went to Tools> Options> Mail Format tab and unchecked Use Microsoft
Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages. This now allowed messages to be
sent. When the test message arrived at my place, I notice the handwriting
gif was inoperative. Which was to be expected.
I would like to be able to return and correct the problem. Any thoughts?
