I upgraded a trial version of Office Small Business Edition 2003 to
Office Small Business Edition 2007. Everything except my Outlook
program works. When I try to start Outlook, the error message
indicates that Microsoft Contact Manager has experienced a problem
and needs to close. I uninstalled Office 2007 and lost everything
related to Office 2003. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Did you create a new mail profile after upgrading?
Installing or uninstalling Outlook never affects existing Outlook data. You probably have a new PST. Use Control Panel's Mail applet's Data Files button to add your old PST to the mail profile (or, better yet, start with a new mail profile with Show Profiles>Add), make it the default delivery location, and remove the extra that was created.
