Non Responsive Program(internet explorer&outlook)

Hope someone can help me because this problem is driving me crazy!!!
All of a sudden I could not print a page from outlook express, then
internet explorer. WHat happens is nothing!! Then I get this non
responsive program thing going on. The page freezes and I have to
cancel it several times and eventually I get the page back on and
running. It also wants to send an error message to microsoft outlook.
I tried using restore, no luck, seems this virus just comes where ever
I go.
Then I tried re installing my printer. No luck. My printer will print
the test page or from notebook. I had not been running any virus
program, just a firewall. My ISP had a security program but everytime I
installed it I could not get on line(seperate problem). I called them
and tried to resolve it but no luck. They finally put together a
program (internet security)that would work for me (windows XP) and I
installed that. It doesn't see any problem! Computer scan came back
OK.
Has anyone had this problem??
