Right now my Outlook 2003 folder configuration looks like this
(hierarchy shown by tabs – hopefully):
Personal Folders
Deleted Items
Drafts
Inbox
Personal (my folder tree)
Work (my folder tree)
Junk Email
Norton AntiSpam
Outbox
Sent Items
Search Folders
MSN
Deleted
Inbox
Junk E-mail
Sent Items
No tabs. Tell me if this is correct:
+Personal Folders
+---Deleted Items
+---Drafts
+---Inbox
+---Personal (my folder tree)
+---Work (my folder tree)
+---Junk Email
+---Norton AntiSpam
+---Outbox
+---Sent Items
+Search Folders
+MSN
+---Deleted
+---Inbox
+---Junk E-mail
+---Sent Items
Question: It will work if I move the emails out of the MSN-INBOX
folder into the existing INBOX-WORK folder, right?
I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean by "it". Do you mean moving them from MSN to Outlook?
If I understand
correctly, the email saving folder simply has to be under PERSONAL
FOLDERS rather than MSN–INBOX for this to work. Just double-checking
that I understand so I don’t delete another group of messages!
Thanks in advance. You've been very helpful. Amy
If that's what you mean, then yes. Dragging your messages from the Inbox under MSN to some folder (any folder) under your Personal Folders will move the message from MSN to your local folders and allow you to view them even when not connected to MSN and they will be removed from the MSN folder.
