Hello all,

To my original post (bottom of this posting; actually applies to OL 2003)
Milly Staples replied:

If you are still having problems after applying both the SP 1 & 2
patches,
then see if this article addresses your problemL

After applying all available patches and following the instructions (to the
letter) in the abovementioned article, I was stymied by the fact that I
incurred an error when attempting to delete the subkey. I continue to be
plagued by Outlook's request to enter my network password. Still out there
Milly? Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again,
Geoffrey Carter

After furious head scratching, Geoffrey Carter asked:

| Hello all,
| Well I'm baffled. I've set up two email accounts, both with account
| name and passwords fully filled in, with the checkbox to remember the
| password checked (I even went so far as to repeat that process for
| the outgoing server, though I'm quite certain my outgoing SMTP does
| NOT require authentication - tried both the "same settings" option
| AND the "log on using" option), and yet, periodically, when Outlook
| goes to check the server either automatically or manually by me, I
| get the "Enter Network Password" dialogue box. This isn't
| consistant, but sometimes happens with EXTREMELY annoying regularity.
| Anybody know of a fix for this?
| Thanks in advance,
| Geoffrey Carter
