When I have the clipboard viewable, I see a lot of action and icons are
left in the office clipboard cache. The icons include the mappoint icon plus
a few others, so it looks like addins are doing it. (When I test it on a
virtual pc with no addins installed, the clipboard isn't erased.) In this
case, there isn't too much the outlook team can do - an addin copies things
to the clipboard when a contact is opened and that erases the text you had
copied. That's how the clipboard is supposed to work. The addin should save
the last item copied and put it back on the clipboard, but that can be
problematic too.
