How make Outlook FORWARD attachments?

A family member who uses Outlook (XP probably) at work mentioned that when
she forwards emails she gets at work with pictures of grandkids to view at
home...she doesn't get the attachments on the home PC. I was wondered if
someone might know how to fix this, or where to look... in layman's terms.
I think the setup is:

WORK. Newer, 1-2 year old Dell PC, with typical Outlook and Office package.
I would assume they have the usual anti-virus and other things on PC's
and/or network

HOME. Older Gateway PC, unsure email client. Used to have an AOL account
and dialup connection, last week got BellSouth DSL, plans to close out AOL.
I have no clue what anti-virus or other things they have, but BellSouth does
have anti-virus I think, and it probably wouldn't strip attachments.
