Welcome to Gatesville, population, plus 1. ;-)

My laptop is an iBook. I love it.

Can't help you with all the questions, but here's a start.

#1. Not really sure. Maybe you could use the Catagories and create a custom
view specifying one category or the other.

#2: To import a CSV, select File>Import and Export. In the resulting dialog
box, select "import from another program file" and select next. Select Comma
Separated Value (DOS). I really don't know if that would work, but it's the
closes I see. There is also a Comma Separated Value (WIN). Browse your way
to your file, and see if it works.

#3: As a Mac user, you should be familiar with www.versiontracker.com . Try
the windows portion of their site, and do a search for "email client."

#4: Same thing, only search for "news client." I've tried just about all of
them. I'd also check out Windows newsreaders,
http://www.newsreaders.com/win/clients.html for a pretty comprehensive list.

Good luck, and remember, Outlook is not Entourage, unfortunately.
