lost everything, need help recovering!

Ok, I'll do my best to explain the problem in the order that it took place.

1. I was not able to change the page setup in Microsoft Word; I wanted to
change the page layout from portrait to landscape and every time that I tried
I got the following error: “increasing right margin causes last column to
become too narrow in some sections having unevenly spaced columns.” After
clicking “ok” on this error nothing happened.
I wasn’t sure why this was happening so I ran "detect and repair". After
reading what this option does it made sense that this might help. After
running this, it then proceeded to install all of my Microsoft office
programs (i.e. Outlook, Word, etc...).
2. When I opened up Outlook I had lost all off my information (i.e.
contacts, old e-mails, etc...) and even my account settings. I need these
e-mails and contacts BADLY!
So my question is, is there any way that I can recover these files?
Or are they lost?
