When you created a new mail profile under control panel->mail icon->show
profiles, you did create a new one and did not copy the old one, right?

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, scott mckee asked:

| I installed Office 2003 into a win XP computer. When I
| try to open Outlook, I get this error message: "Unable
| to open your default email folders. Create a new profile
| by BLAH BLAH BLAH" I did this to no avail. As soon as
| I click on either the close button or the OK in the error
| message, Outlook closes also, preventing me from somehow
| loading my personal folders from my previous versions of
| Outlook. I tried to load the Office 2003 SP's but after
| downloading them, it said I already had them. I have run
| out of ideas. Anybody have any suggestions? TIA
