OLE registration probelm with outlook 2000

I am using Windows 2000 with outlook 2000. Recently stated
gettting the error
" An OLE registration error has occured . The program
will not correctly install. Run set up again for the
program"
I cannot even open the mail settings from the control
panel.
So I need help.
PS It is after I installed IE 6 and uninstalled it that I
got the error. I installed IE 6 back again but did not
take care of the problem
