Quality of signature within Outlook 2003

I have created a signature within Word 2003 which looks
like a web page for use within Outlook 2003, as a
signature file works perfectly accept the quality reduces
and little x's appear throughout email, when composing
email quality if perfect only when recieved email
signature quality reduces.

Please can you HELP !
