Message stuck in Outlook Outbox

I can't seem to get a message out of the outbox. When I
try to delete it I get the following message:
"Microsoft Outlook
The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If
the problem persists, restart Outlook"

Well, I have restarted Outlook and I can't get it to
clear. It's been stuck there for about a month now. Can
you tell me what I need to do to get rid of it?

The good news is it's not causing any send or receive
problems with my email.
