I have several rules which are supposed to either delete messages or
move them into a folder. Each of these rules includes 'Stop processing
more rules' but I still end-up with some messages in the junk mail
folder that should have either been deleted or moved into a different
folder :-(
So if you are correct, and the rules are run first, the junk filter
must have some way of magically resurrecting messages that were
deleted by the rule.

Same here, except I'm on XP home.
I have mail coming from both an Exchange 2000 Server and a number of
POP3 accounts. Does it behave differently with Exchange 2003?

I think that is how it works by default. At least that is how mine
seems to be working.

I have a number of rules that move or delete messages, and they don't
appear to be running for messages that are picked up by the junk mail
filter. So I think you will be OK.

I would like some of my rules to be applied before the junk mail
filter and others to be applied only for messages not picked up by the
filter, but I'm not sure if this is possible.
