Hi People
I have a problem that maybe someone can help me with please...
I had a working copy of Outlook XP and tried to upgrade to Outlook
2003...the upgrade crashed and I went through Add/Remove programs and took
out Outlook 2003...and then reinstalled the XP version...
The problem is this...now when I click on any buttons to do with
Send/Receive I get a message that says "The Operation Failed" I sent a
message to myself hoping it would work and got the following message, I have
deleted the recipient and my static IP address from the message:

Relaying temporarily denied. Cannot resolve PTR record for
I have verified with the ISP that all of the settings are correct...my guess
is that something in the install of the 2003 version screwed up the
settings, however I do not have sufficient knowledge to fix it...I have
searched around on the Microsoft Knowledge Base with no luck...either I was
looking in the wrong place or this is a new problem...I will be extremely
grateful for any help...
Thanks
Eric
