Try asking in an Access forum about how to have the user enter just you@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and have the form change it to mailto:you@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Outlook isn't involved in your scenario at all.

Hi,.
I'm using Outlook Express and Access XP. I have created a field in my
Contacts table called E-Mail. I'd like to use this field on a form so that
when we click on it, we get a New Mail Message with that email address in the
To: field of the mail message. I see the Hyperlink data type and tried that,
but it seems to only hyperlink to a web site. Any ideas are appreciated.
Thank you.
