Encrypting Email Attachments

If I want to encrypt my email attachments before sending them, can I do
this with Outlook? If so, do I have to set up a PKI structure to support
this? If not, how would it work without PKI. My company is brand new to
Outlook (been on Groupwise), that's why such a basic question. Thank you!!
