    we had the same problem after upgrading a mac to 9.2... after much
    beating our heads against a wall - the only solution was to add a
    'hosts' file to the system folder... included the following lines

    exchange-mail CNAME mail.ourcompany.com
    mail.ourcompany.com A 192.168.168.1

    using your info of course... as soon as we included that file it
    immediately connected...
