Re: Trying to use SBCGlobal POP3 on Outlook 2007 with Windows 7 Ul 64

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

On Account settings, double click the SBC account, then click More Settings. On the Advanced tab, did you try both SSL and Auto encryption?

FWIW, firewall can make a difference if its blocking outlook.exe (common with certain 3rd party firewalls when updates are installed) or if the ports are closed.

I have just upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit operating
system. The only thing I cannot get to work is my POP3 mail for SBCGLOBAL
using SSL port 995 on Outlook 2007. I can log in and out of Yahoo/SBCGlobal
mail so my password has not changed. Also SMTP works like a charm, using port
465, SSL. Spent 2 hours with ATT tech support and I have them stumped. Yes I
have deleted the mail profile and started fresh. My work email works well
using port 110. Turned off the firewall (should not make a differnce with a
MAPI client), still nada. It will not allow me to authenticate. Anyone have
a clue or is this some bug?

Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit and XP Professional 32 bit work on the same
machine using Outlook 2007, POP3 mail for SBGLOBAL using SSL port 995. The
computer is a Dell D630 so I have interchangable drives.
