Re: Outlook not sending

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

I seemed to login fine in the command prompt. I got "connecting to and then
a blank screen that seemed to be the connection.
What does that mean for me?

I enabled logging and here is part of my log - I don't get error messages -
my message just stay in the outbox - please someone HELP!!

2008.08.21 17:15:55 SMTP (smtp.att.yahoo.com): Port: 465, Secure: no, SPA:
yes
2008.08.21 17:15:55 SMTP (smtp.att.yahoo.com): Finding host
2008.08.21 17:15:55 SMTP (smtp.att.yahoo.com): Connected to host
2008.08.21 17:16:15 SMTP (smtp.att.yahoo.com): Disconnected from host
2008.08.21 17:16:15 SMTP (smtp.att.yahoo.com): End execution

This indicates you have a connection issue with the outgoing server. AT&T's
Yahoo requires a secure connection. Your log indicates you don't have that
set. On the Advanced tab of your server properties, make sure "SSL" is in
the drop-down for the outgoing server security.

If that doesn't help. open a command prompt window and enter

telnet smtp.att.yahoo.com 465

and report what you see.
