About a week ago we began to experience problems when trying to open jpeg and
tiff files sent via e-mail. The problem has slowly spready through the
office, but there is no virus, so I'm guessing it may be related to a
Microsoft Update. It doesn't matter what application you try to open the the
file in, it won't open properly (Picture and fax viewer, Photo Manager, IE,
etc. give me a red "X" or say "No preview is available"). However, if you
copy that same file to a server or removable drive to move it from one
computer to another, it can be open and viewed with no problems. It only
affects XP. Our Vista and Mac OS people are fine. Any help will be greatly
appreciated. So far I can't find anything consisted about the security
settings of the affected parties. The only thing everyone has in common is
that they can't view the files when they sent by e-mail, both internal and
external.
Same thing is happening to us? Any solutions?
I was having the same issue. I removed MS KB945432 and it's working.
Thanks so much.
