Not Outlook!
You have to import the msgs into Outlook Express, before you can then export
them to Outlook

The Microsoft knowledge base told me where to find the entire folder so I
uploaded (then downloaded) the entire folder. I didn't change anything
(names or extensions). From Outlook I tried file>import>from file but
when I
followed that all the way through to the folder the dialogue box didn't
show
any files to select.

Depends what *exactly* you saved from your old PC
If you saved the complete folder tree that contained your msgs - they are
contained in dbx files, but you need the folder named Identity, I
recollect.
Within Express, Import>Msgs>.......follow the prompt pointing it to your
Identity/Folder you saved
If you saved something else then best post an Internet Explorer group
corresponding with your version

DL,

Uh oh.... how do you make the "mail store available"? I say uh oh
because
I'm not sure I can still get to the old computer.... I had looked on
the
Microsoft site to see how I could find the folders and I just copied
them
all
and uploaded them to an online storage site before downloading them to
the
newer computer. Do I still have a chance to access them some way?

Thanks again for your reply.

Importing changes the modified dates to import date.

We have installed a new computer and I exported the Outlook Express
mail
to
an online storage site then downloaded the files into a folder on
the
newer
computer's desktop. I cannot import the files into Outlook from the
folder.
When I browse for the area to import from, the files don't appear
for
selection. I have tried file>import>from another program or file>
then
from
personal folder file (didn't work) and tab separated value
(windows).
The
other selections are programs such as Eudora. I also tried
File>Import>Internet Mail and Address> Outlook Express (because
that's
what
was used on the old computer). That didn't work either.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!!
