You have to make the mail store available to Outlook Express on the new PC
(or Windows Mail if Vista) before you can then export them to Outlook
(Outlook has to be set up)
Importing changes the modified dates to import date.

We have installed a new computer and I exported the Outlook Express mail
to
an online storage site then downloaded the files into a folder on the
newer
computer's desktop. I cannot import the files into Outlook from the
folder.
When I browse for the area to import from, the files don't appear for
selection. I have tried file>import>from another program or file> then
from
personal folder file (didn't work) and tab separated value (windows). The
other selections are programs such as Eudora. I also tried
File>Import>Internet Mail and Address> Outlook Express (because that's
what
was used on the old computer). That didn't work either.
