That is what I thought. The msvcr80.dll is a Norton (Symantec) created issue. Removing Norton will remove this error .
Norton is a major cause of many issues lately. Use any free Anti Virus instead. Avast,AVG,Nod32 a few that will do a better job than Norton. Also never use any Anti Virus for scanning your incoming and outgoing emails. The resident Anti Virus will still catch any if you try to open . Also Anti Spam filtering can also cause issues with your email client.

I encountered this problem countless times, even as I reinstall Outlook
2007
many times. I even tried to remove the manifest file (suggested elsewhere)
but it just won't work. I even reinstalled my Windows Vista Home Premium,
thinking it might be the add-ons causing the problem.... Can some1 help?

The Outlook 2007 I use comes from Office 2007 Professional (Trial).
