Re: outlook 2007 and 2002

Haven't heard if Microsoft plans on offering a limited trial version, just
know that the launch for "business" is slated for the end of this month.

Yeah, I need to learn to proof read before clicking send. Yes, Outlook 2003
& 2007 offer a new PST file format that is not compatible with earlier
versions. When you go to create new PST files in either version, you just
need to make sure you pick the Outlook 97/2002 flavor in the user interface.
(Neither converts old format to new. Always requires creating a new PST
file and then copying/importing in from old format)

able to go back to 2002 that i shouldnt use the PST file format ... how
can i use the PST file from 2002 without using the PST file? :)

or do you mean 2007 has a new PST format and i have a choice of
upgrading the PST file to that new format or keeping the old format?

Hi all,

I'd like to give outlook 2007 a try. However the install program says
it cant be installed side by side with any other version of outlook
(why?).

Is there any trick way around this? if not, will i be able to go back
to 2002 without loosing any emails or anything?
