I haven't seen this issue. Out of curiosity, do you have any security (e.g.
antivirus, antispam, firewall) software installed that can scan outbound
e-mail? If yes, try uninstalling/reinstalling that product w/out this
feature and see if your issues continue.

Hi people,
I have a client which uses a hosted email service which requires SMTP
authentication to send email. The client (on two seperate computers) is
repeatadily getting prompted for the password (almost like the wrong one
has
been typed in although it is correct) and no matter what you type in you
can't get around. You then have to hit cancel and hope that the next time
it
tries to send it will work which is probably 85% of the time. The ISP said
this was due to a problem in Outlook and that other mail clients work
fine. I
ran live update on office on both computers and found everythign was upto
date(sp2 included). I don't want to change email clients but this problem
needs to be resolved and it causes alot of pain. Has anyone come across
this
before? I've tryed setting longer timeouts, sending emails with or without
attachments doesn't effect the problem either.
Regards,
Brett
