Steve,
I have had the same problem driving me crazy since getting new laptop with
new OutLook. I even called Microsoft tech support and paid $25 to walk me
through steps to save navigation paine as I set it up. It worked for a while,
then started loosing my settings everytime I shut down. There has to be more
people experiencing this problem, and a way to solve it. I have gotten lucky
a couple times by going to START => PROGRAMS => MICROSOFT OFFICE => MICROSOFT
OFFICE TOOLS => MICROSOFT OFFICE 2003 SAVE MY SETTINGS WIZARD to save my
OUTLOOK Navigation pane settings. But, that is hit or miss and must close
OUTLOOK to save settings... thus, losing settings and starting all over. VERY
FRUSTRATING.
Our company has also gone to MICROSOFT CRM and GREAT PLAINS, both of which
are very cumbersome and restrictive. MAYBE this is the BEGINNING of the END
of MICROSOFT!!
