I am at the moment on a windows 2000 pro system. with outlook partly working,
it will recieve but will not send.
I need to get it to work on xp pro, however i have had no luck with using
the info from the said email account and using outlook on xp prokeeps
erroring out.
below is what happened to me on the win 2kp OL6.0.
("0x800CCC69 SMTP_550_ (i think) it wasnt the 69 error it was either 75 or
79. Anyhow, since then i tried changing the info for the pop3 and stmp. it
didnt work at all, so i switched back to the regular info needed. So now
when I try to send, it does nothing at all, just a brief flash of the
progress window. I checked my email to see if the test email had made it or
been sent. It hasnt.
So now im between a rock and a hard place. Needing to get this reconfigured
by today, and.. on XP. So far on 2000, seems to be the only one that can
access enough to at least retreive the emails. But wont send.
Help, confused and frustrated running out of time
