Re: Can't Move Some Mail

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Sorry for the delay; we had a long weekend here, and I have lost my Internet connection.

That should not happen with a POP/SMTP account, I would have thought this would only happen on an IMAP account.

I will have a look at it later; right now I will need to leave and check on my new home Internet connection...

Sorry Pat but I missed that question and just thought you had given up on me!

Not sure exactly what you want but does POP/SMTP sound right? I got that from Tools-Accounts.

It's a stange problem in that if I try to move a large number of mail items from a folder to another, most will go but some will remain with the error messages noted.

Cheers

You still haven't answered my question from your first round: what is your account type?

Hi There.

I have Outlook 2007 SP2 and run XP SP3.

I want to move a number of messages from one folder to another and found that only some messages could be moved, but not all.

The ones left behind cannot be read in the reading pane and I get a message "This item contains active content that cannot be displayed in the reading pane. Open the item to read the contents"

When I try to move the message I get "this task cannot be performed for message headers. Download the complet messages, and then complet the task"

I can opne the message and view it like that and if I email the message to myself, the new message can be moved to any folder without problem.

Any ideas anyone please? This is my second time trying to sort this out so help would be realy appreciated!
Thanks
Buster
