Re: Outlook 2007 retrieve disc

Thank U again Gordon. I am sure the old Outlook is corrupt. However, it
did show up on the trial retrieve program I downloaded, so hopefully all is
not lost. When I go into Show Profiles, the old .pst is listed, but it
will not open. I am off to Brisbane in a day or two, so I should be able
to get an expert to assist. I operate with Vista Business.

What is puzzling is that my new email account will not send, but will receive.

Hope your son is better soon. We were in UK last October. Drove from
Lands End to John O'Goats and zig zag across - looking up all the relations'
gravesites.

Many thanks for your help.
Margaret.

Gordon, thank u for replying.
In Outlook 2007, my original email account disappeared. I could not
find
the .pst file, nor send/receive. As I had to have banking email contact,
I
created a new account and I can now receive, but not send. The new
Outlook
is in .pst.pst, I cannot find the old Outlook.pst.

That's because it's a hidden file.

The easiest answer is to set up a new mail profile (sounds like the original
may be corrupted) and add the old pst file to it.
To do this go to Control Panel-Mail-Show Profiles-Add.
When you have added the new profile, highlight it, click Properties, click
on Data Files, Add, and navigate to the default location for your version of
Windows. (It differs slightly depending on your version of Windows).
Then in the same dialog box re-add your email account to the new profile.

See if that helps.

Glad to help someone from Oz, my son is in WA shearing and has just had a
nasty accident, being burned quite badly and is being looked after very
well, so far from home! (UK)
