Disable you Anti Virus from scanning your emails. Uninstall your Anti Virus and then re-install it without the email integration(scanning) This will correct your error (0x800CCC0F) issue

Has anyone found the solution to the problem that I am having?
I recently switched to AT&T DSL Ultra from Mediacom Cable. Since I switched
over Outlook has not worked. I found the link which told me how to setup my
pop and smtp servers.
I constantly get the message:
Task 'pop.att.yahoo.com-Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F): 'The
connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact
your server administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP).'
I have contacted AT&T DSL Ultra Support and they act as though there is some
large mail item blocking the receive action. I can access my AT&T Web Mail
account and there is nothing in it. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated. Changing back to Mediacom would be a solution but is not an
option I want to consider. My Web Mail is 'jimmy.clemons@xxxxxxx'
