In fact, these recent downloads are a real pain in the a_ _, changes .docs to
.dot, etc., etc., continuing to use up space, needing more power to run these
programs which for those who are unaware is purposely done in order to sell,
sell, sell.

With all due respect, that's a crock. Word templates take up very little room and with hard drives in the terabyte range available for around $100 or so, who cares?

Please give me a better answer and explain more throughly so that
others can find a solution more easily. Don't put this stuff out there and
then want to charge someone to call in and fix a problem on something that
already paid out the a_ _ for.

First, let's get one thing straight. I don't work for Microsoft and have no monetary interest in whether or not they "sell, sell, sell." As to your remark of "charge someone to call in and fix a problem on something already paid for", Microsoft gives you FREE support when you call about a retail product still within the warranty period. Outside of the warranty period, asking for free support on Outlook is like asking your car dealer to fix your vehicle free when it's out of warranty. That doesn't happen, either.

I'll be glad to attempt to address your problem, but you haven't given me enough information, like your Outlook version and exactly what you've tried so far (other than the template files). For example, did you see if the problem occurs if you start Outlook in safe mode?
