Synchronizing Hotmail with Outlook 2003

If you have a "free" hotmail account can it be synchronized with Outlook
2003? I have it set up and the folders are in my Folder List however, the
file does not synchronize. I get the following error message:

Folder: Inbox Synchronizing headers,'reported error (0x800CCCF6): 'An
unknown error has occurred. Please save any existing work and restart the
program.'
