what version of windows are you using?
if you are win2000 or XP professional, are you logged into a domain?
have you tried saving the rtf to a different folder?

the message you are getting indicates that you do not have sufficient
permissions to save to that folder, or that it is unable to save there for
some other reason. check to make sure the folder is not read-only, and then
make sure the drive you are trying to save to is not full.
