Does the same error occur if you start Outlook in safe mode
("outlook.exe /safe") and then exit? If the error does not occur in
safe mode then you might have an add-in that isn't compatible with the
Office service pack level currently installed. When you exit Outlook,
it first has to unload all add-ins, but in safe mode none of the add-ins
are loaded so there are none to unload when exiting Outlook.
