I'm sorry that I made an assumption about your reasons for pointing people
to your site - it was unjustified.
However, it's much more helpful to both the people you're responding to and
to others who read the group if you either put the response in a post to
the group or at least point to a specific page on your site rather than
your whole site.
There are several reasons for that. First, people coming here for help
often are don't really understand email or Outlook and therefore don't
necessarily have the trouble-shooting skills required to determine which of
the pages on your site are relevant to their situation. That's where those
of us that help in these groups come in - helping people narrow down their
problem.
Also, those of us that do respond to posts here read responses to issues we
know about both to keep an eye on the validity of the response (and to
correct it if it's wrong) and to learn something that we didn't know. Just
pointing folks to a broad website defeats both of those goals.
