Hi All

I know the subject might seem that I am asking a lot, but please hear me
out.

1) I'm on my PC at work, which uses Outlook 2003 in WinXP SP2, and my
default mail account is set to send my outgoing email to and receive my
incoming mail from our local ip mail server (actually 192.168.0.1 and using
ADSL). This part is fine and not the problem.

2) At the end of the day, I take my HD (which is in a removable drive) home
and plug it into my home PC and start it up. Now this is where the problem
lies. When I try to send an email out its looking for our local ip mail
server, which means I have to go into my settings and change the default to
an external account.

Is there anyway that Outlook can auto-sense that my office's local ip mail
server isn't there and look at another smtp server (preferred) or another
mail account that does have an external smtp server set?

Rgds

Robbie
