Can send email using 2002 Outlook

I just installed Outlook 2002 on my new Computer(XP).
It worked just fine on my old one. I can received email
but cannot send. My incoming mail server(POP3)and out
going server(SMTP)are set just like my settings on my old
computer(98)which worked fine. When I try the "test
Settings" in the e-mail account setup, I get the
following error message: "Send e-mail message Failed".

The actual message I get when I attempt to send an e-mail
is ""Task 'SBC Yahoo !mail-gg1212-sending and receiving"
reported error (0x800CCC18);'Your e-mail server rejected
your login with Secure Password Authentication. Verify
your account properties, Under Tools, Click E-mail
Accounts"

I double checked the settings in my E-mail account and
the "login with Secure Password Authentication" is not
checked under the "Internet E-mail Settings(POP3) or
the "more settings" "Outgoing Server" tab.
