All POP3 accounts get their incoming messages aggregated into the Inbox
folder (i.e., all POP3 accounts aggregate into one message store). Each
HTTP account gets its own message store so they appear as a separate
branch in the folder tree.

You can use Hotmail Popper (http://www.boolean.ca/hotpop/) to access
Hotmail via POP3. You define a POP3 account in your e-mail client that
is for Hotmail. It uses the POP3 protocol (instead of HTTP/WebDAV). It
points at the Hotmail Popper proxy that runs locally. Your POP3 account
in your e-mail account connects via POP3 to Hotmail Popper which then
connects via HTTP to Hotmail to yank your messages (Outlook <-- Hotmail
Popper <-- Hotmail). Hotmail Popper used to be free but isn't anymore;
it now costs $17.50.

I believe there are also service providers to whom you may subscribe
that will do the yanking for you from several webmail providers and then
you yank via POP3 from them. They aren't free. One is IzyMail Online
(http://www.izymail.com/) at $11/year.
