I am having the same problem but in selective cases. I did not have the problem with Outlook XP or Outlook Express only Outlook 2003. I only have the problem with my account with Bellsouth, no other accounts. It appears that Outlook 2003 only downloads a copy of messages and leave a copy on the server. Outlook 2003 seems to ignore the "Leave copy on server" check box.
