Well, Jody, I had to spend an MSDN incident to find the
solution: Choose "Detect and Repair" from the Help menu
while Outlook is running. The M$ tech insisted that it
did not always work - and she suggested several other,
fairly intrusive, approaches first. However, for me (with
Win2k/Office 2k), this one did the trick. While it is not
formally a "reinstallJ", you will need your Office
installation CD. I know of at least one other poster
besides us who has had the same problem recently.
HTH,
Rob

>I just installed a new boot drive in my Win XP Home
machine. All files were copied from the original boot
drive to the new boot drive automatically. Everything
seems to be working exceot for Outlook. I now receive an
Unknown Error 0x8007007e message when I try to
send/receive mail. When receiving mail, it appears to
download the message but then give me the error message.
I have not tried reinstalling Outlook because I thought
someone might have a simpler fix. Any ideas? Thanks for
your help in advance!
