I'm having trouble getting things back to normal in a reinstallation
correction. After a couple of years on Office 2000 I had to temporarily
revert to Office 97 because of a software problem and misplaced Office 2000
disks. I was able to purchase Office 2000 and reinstalled (backed up
outlook.pst from c:/windows prior to reinstall). When I started up OL, it
created mailbox.pst in Windows/Local Settings/Application
Data/Microsoft/Outlook and uses it as primary.
Unable to import my stuff properly from the outlook.pst, I copied
outlook.pst to the new directory as mailbox.pst overwriting the newly
created mailbox.pst file. All my contacts are listed perfectly clearly, but
when I want to send an e-mail I am told that my address book is empty and I
find no listing underneath Address Book for Contacts. How do I get things
back to where they need to be. The data is there and I can see my contacts
from both personal folders, but I can't see them when I click on the "To:"
list tab when composing a new e-mail.
Thanks.
