Thanks Sue, but I'm not sure you know what I am trying to do. Please
let me give you an example of what's going on.
My Contacts entries have multiple Categories, so let's say I want to
create a distribution list for all contacts that carry all three
categories, for example,
Friends [AND] Business [AND] New York (Business Friends in New York).
I have contacts that carry one or two but not all three categories,
e.g.,
Friends [AND] Business [AND] San Francisco,
or simply Friends [AND] New York.
An entry carrying all 3 Categories will appear in all of the 3
Categories - once in Friends, again in Business, and a 3rd time in New
York. Each of these 3 Categories will also contain other contact
entries mixed with other Categories, e.g., Friends [AND] New York, or
just Friends.
I have used Advanced Find in OL to filter out a list of contacts that
only carry all 3 Categories, i.e., must be Business + Friends + New York
(so Friends + New York is not counted), but once the search result is
displayed, I cannot do anything to the entries apart from opening,
deleting or moving them.
What I want to do is put this list of contacts in a new Distribution
List. Is that possible?
Regarding your suggestions....
Can I sort by multiple categories? How do I do that? I can only sort
by one category group at a time. My Contacts view has always been by
Category.
By Tools > Mail Merge you meant in Microsoft Word right? But it does
not do Categories when displaying OL Contacts :(
Thanks you so much.

| Try it this way: Use the By Category view in Contacts. Select the
category
| you want to send to, then choose Actions | New Message to Contact. Cut
and
| paste the addresses from the To field to Bcc.
|
| Better yet, use Tools | Mail Merge to send individual messages to the
| contacts in the selected category.
