Address book problem

I have read the post from Juanita (below) and response from
Russ and still can't resolve my problem.

I recently re-formatted my hard drive after contacting a
virus. I had the work done and am not clear on how Outlook
was re-installed, but my contacts are all available under
"Contacts".

My problem is that I cannot make them appear on the "Select
Names" list when I click "To", "Cc" or "Bcc" unless I
select a different contact list from the "Show Names from
the" drop-down list. Also, although it is set-up to do so,
the names do not auto-complete.

I have checked "Show this folder as an email Address Book"

Thanks.
