In the "run" box I'm typing this:

c:\programfiles(x86)\microsoft office\office12\outlook.exe /cleanreminders

There's a space before the last forward slash. This is the correct path.

No, it's not. Either enter

outlook.exe /cleanreminders

or

"C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\Outlook.exe" /cleanreminders

Because you did not quote the path containing spaces, the Run command cannot handle the path.
