copy paste chart into ppt

I have a powerpoint presentation with many excel links to charts and
tables from various different files. it takes a lot of time to update
the powerpoint. I was wondering if anyone knows any better way to
copy paste chart/table into powerpoint which will update automatically
when I open up powerpoint. I am using Office 2010 version.
