Changing defaults to a shape

Hi,
I'm using PowerPoint 2010 and I find myself using the program's Insert
Shapes command quite a bit. Is there any way to change the defaultfor one of these shapes? For example, when I use the Oval tool it
always drags out the oval with a dark purple fill with a black border.
99% of the time I want a red oval with no fill. Can I create a new
default for that tool that will give me the hollow red oval instead of
the filled purple oval? Thanks very much.
.
