Re: PP2003: How to force slide advance on double-click?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

OK. If nothing is in sequence and everything is triggered, I would think
you would want to put the thing in Kiosk mode (under Set Up Show). Just
be sure to have a button that takes you to the next (or whatever slide).
In kiosk mode, the only things that would work are the objects that you
make active. Extraneous clicks will not advance to the next slide.

Correct, other things are active and there are no animations in sequence.
We are setting up a quiz board where we click to uncover the answer given, or
click another box to signal the "buzzer" sound - nothing in sequence.

I appreciate the different solution ideas from everyone and we will see what
works with least amount of effort! Many thanks everyone!

I have a presentation with a larger number of single-click elements on

occur on double-click or keyboard only so we don't have an errant click
advance the slide before we are done (which we've seen in rehearsals
already).

Can you help?

Here's another thought in addition to what everyone else said. Put an
object (possibly with 99% transparency) covering the entire slide behind
all your single-click objects. There are several things I can think that
this object can do:

(1) It could be hyperlinked to the current slide so if someone clicks in
the background, it just takes you back where you are. This means that
clicking will not advance the slide.

(2) Give the object an exit animation that is triggered by clicking on
itself. This is a single-error correction system. One errant click will
remove the object. The second one will advance.

(3) Have the object trigger some other animation.

From reading your question, I assumed (possibly incorrectly) that other
objects on the page are being active, not just animations in a sequence
so you would click on the other objects to have some action (like a
triggered animation) take place. If this is simply an animation
sequence, the other solutions might be better.
