It will cost you one download and the time it takes to play the song to have
that tune importable to PowerPoint. Goodgle and download Audacity or Any
Sound Recorder and tell it to record while you play the song in iTunes. Then
save the resulting recording as an MP3 file, and you're good to go.
Blame Apple, not Microsoft, for the draconian iTunes restrictions...

Nobody's dogging Microsoft...
However.. itunes, sure.. It is very frustrating when I pay for a tune and
am not able to use it in my powerpoint presentation. Its not like I'm
selling it or giving it away to someone else!!
I have this presentation due tomorrow, I need to add a song, and I am
unable
because iTunes is greedy!
This is why people use limewire applications!

Troy,
Goldwave is not free! This is from the download:
Registering
Menu Command: Options | Register
"Although this evaluation version is fully functional, GoldWave is not
free
software. The evaluation version will expire after a generous amount of
use.
After trying GoldWave, the modest registration fee should seem very
reasonable considering all of the great features included. To register
and
support further development, please see the website. You can order
securely
online or you can fill in the order form and send it by mail.
Registration
details are given below. If you've already purchased a license, please
enter
it into the program (close this help window first)."
Thanks so much, Microsoft, for not allowing our itunes to be used in
PPT
presentations. YOU'RE GREAT! NOT!

As Austin said, PPT does not recognize the format. You can download
something like GoldWave (goldwave.com) a freeware audio editor and
convert
it to an .mp3 format (or a .wav format that can be embedded, but a
larger
file size).
