Re: Change existing chart

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Thanks for responding.

I discovered if I right click on the graph, I can select Object, Edit.
Now I can edit the data. What do I need to do to see the graph again?

Also, like Excel, I had formulas in the chart from a slide to get the data
from the chart of another slide. It gave me the #REF# error when I reopen
powerpoint. Is it possible to have it update? I was trying not to enter data
twice.

The Help file is expecting you to use Excel/PPT 2007 for the editing, so
that's what that is describing. Since you're using 2003, you won't find the
Chart Tools Design tab | Data group | Show Data button.

What is it you're trying to do?

Using 2007 but saving as 2003 - have 2003 on my laptop.
Created graphs but using icon on a new slide.

Now I need to edit data and the help screen says:
Under Chart Tools, on the Design tab, in the Data group, click Show Data.

Feeling ignorant but I can't find it.
